Red Dragon in Chinatown
I don't know if I would have wanted to live in San Francisco if not for its Chinatown.
Chinatown is one of the most important parts of the city. It provides depth, energy, mystery, character, stories, all the good things a good city needs. Not that other parts of San Francisco are lacking in good things, it's just that Chinatown is so rich in them. Pictured here is a red dragon at the corner of Grant and Commercial. I am very fond of both streets.
When people emigrate they take their myths and beliefs with them to the new location. Monsters often seem to come along as well. I have heard about sightings of Japanese traditional monsters in Hawaii by white American locals. How intriguing is that!
